The Black Artists + Designers Guild (BADG) launched their latest project: OBSIDIAN. The project is a partnership between ELLE Decor, House Beautiful, Town & Country, and VERANDA, Hearst Magazine's Luxury & Design Collection as the national media sponsors and regional media sponsor California Home + Design. The Obsidian Virtual Concept House was unveiled to almost 1700 people via Zoom, Livestream, etc. The event had celebrities, editors, and artists Resistance Revival Chorus featuring Deva Mahal, Colin Asare-Appiah, Reggie Van Lee, Michael Boatman, Kesha Franklin, Malene Barnett, Chris Spencer, Leyden Lewis, Nina Cooke John, Steele Marcoux is Editor in Chief of Veranda, Joanna Saltz is Editor in Chief of House Beautiful, Everick Brown, Vanessa Williams, Salli Richardson Whitfield, Stellene Volandes is Editor in Chief of Town & Country, Asad Syrkett is Editor in Chief of ELLE Decor, Morgan Taylor Jones, DJ M.O.S. in attendance with a live audience of 1.1K.
