Britt Wallach, Claiborne Swanson Frank, Mimi Ritzen Crawford, and Brent Neale hosted a charming luncheon at the Whitby Hotel to celebrate the exclusive launch of DAPHNE WILDE, contemporary dresses. Invoking the sophistication of European women and the practicality of their American counterparts, Daphne Wilde founder, Britt Wallach, hopes to help women “feel as stylish off-duty as on-effortlessly and without forgoing comfort.”
The hosts wore the timeless silhouettes including The Giovanna, The Stella, and The Claiborne. Each of the dresses from the collection is hand-finished by refugee and first-generation women who are building new homes for themselves in the United States. The first drop features hand-embroidered designs on each dress. Daphne Wilde values these women’s skills and welcomes their presence.
Guests had the opportunity to learn the craft with a stitching demonstration from Brooklyn Craft Company. In honor of the launch, a donation was made in each guest's name to the International Rescue Committee. Attendees included Claire Olshan, Marie Duenas Jacobs, Jessica Sailer Van Lith, Alexandra Macon, Jane Keltner de Valle, Alex Lind Rose, Julia Amory, Alexandra Fritz Khoudari, Melanie Fowler and more.
