Riviera Dining Group (RDG) hosted the grand opening of AVA MediterrAegean in Coconut Grove, unveiling its newest restaurant and exclusive members club with a dazzling celebration inspired by the spirit, flavors, and culture of Greece. Guests were transported to a world of coastal beauty and modern elegance, immersed in a multisensory celebration that showcased RDG’s signature fusion of gastronomy, design, and vibrant energy.
Notable guests included RDG Executives, including Founder and CEO, Gregory Galy; Partner & Chief Brand Officer, Marine Giron-Galy; Partner & Head of Culinary, Chef Michaël Michaelidis; Partner & Chief Financial Officer, Fabien Guardiola; Partner & Chief Sales Officer, Michael Ridard; and Partner & Chief People Officer, Robert Blasi. The evening also welcomed a distinguished crowd of MM Members, reflecting the strong, engaged community behind RDG’s growing hospitality and lifestyle portfolio.
The evening unfolded across AVA’s stunning new space—designed by Lazaro Rosa-Violán—where natural textures, glowing marble accents, and abundant greenery created an elegant, immersive environment reminiscent of the Aegean. Guests enjoyed an array of curated culinary experiences that reflected the restaurant’s refined Greek identity, including caviar and seafood presentations, a mesmerizing ice sculpture, a tuna carving station, and lavish presentations of Cinco Jotas and mezze. The open kitchen featured pizza and risotto stations, while a pastry table and passed canapés provided a sweet finish to the evening. Signature cocktails and premium pours circulated throughout the restaurant as guests mingled across the terrace and dining room, fully immersed in AVA’s coastal allure.
RE:KÜLTURA, the highly acclaimed Greek folktronic band celebrated across Greece and the Mediterranean, was flown in exclusively for the celebration and delivered a mesmerizing performance that embodied AVA’s contemporary interpretation of Greek heritage. Throughout the evening, RDG’s resident DJ kept the energy flowing with rhythmic beats, adding to the night’s euphoric yet refined atmosphere.
Adding to the night’s allure, RDG unveiled AVA MM Members Club—an intimate, members-only retreat discreetly housed within the flagship property. The club features a distinct Japanese-inspired culinary program, elevated mixology, exclusive cigar and wine lockers, and a dynamic calendar of curated cultural experiences, including chef-led dinners and intimate tastings, among others. Together, these elements define the next evolution of AVA’s sophisticated lifestyle offering.
