1stdibs, the leading global marketplace for luxury design, announced this year’s “1stdibs 50” at a special event in the 1stdibs Gallery. The 1stdibs 50 comprises 50 of the most talented designers from around the world, who are featured in 2019’s The 1stdibs 50 (formerly Rooms of Distinction), the third edition of the book published annually by 1stdibs.
1stdibs toasted the honorary designers among industry peers within a new exhibition in the Gallery inspired by the work of the 50 honorees and produced by multidisciplinary designer Andrés Reisinger. The exhibition will be open to the public through 2019. Guests sipped on four different kinds of apple-flavored local cocktails at the orchard-inspired bar and enjoyed hors d'oeuvres from BITE.
Hosted by David Rosenblatt, Anthony Barzilay Freund, Sarah Liebel and Cristina Miller, the event was attended by notable design industry elites including Steven Gambrel, Miles Redd, Wesley Moon, Ray Booth, Summer and Josh Thornton, Bryan O’Sullivan, Monique Gibson, Sasha Adler, Fawn Galli and more.
