Sony Pictures Classics toasted the TIFF premieres of Eleanor the Great and Blue Moon with a lively double celebration at the newly opened Jacobs & Co. Steakhouse at CIBC Square Toronto. The Campari Cinema Center soirée, presented with Rodeo FX, welcomed filmmakers, actors, and industry insiders for a night of great food, Campari cocktails, and conversation.
The spotlight shone on Eleanor the Great, Scarlett Johansson’s directorial debut, starring the remarkable 95-year-old June Squibb. Dazzling in a sequined red pantsuit, Squibb was the life of the party, greeting admirers from her spot in the dining room alongside co-stars Chiwetel Ejiofor and Erin Kellyman. Johansson, glowing in pale pink, mingled with Ethan Hawke and guests throughout the bar and piano lounge.
The room buzzed with excitement as the Blue Moon cast arrived, with Ethan Hawke and Bobby Cannavale instantly lifting the atmosphere and adding a new wave of star power to the celebration. Scarlett Johansson and Hawke caught up animatedly near the piano lounge, while Cannavale worked the room with his signature charm. Warm hugs, animated conversations, and plenty of photo moments carried through the evening as stars circulated and connected with guests.
