3BYFOUR is a quarterly, invitation-only event series put on by three women: Hannah Minardi of With Seven, Kitty Schur of The Collective Rising, and Olivia Davis of Art of Choice. United by their commitment to curation, passion for connection and knack for cultivating interesting conversations in unconventional settings, Kitty, Hannah and Olivia set out to resurrect the outdated dinner parties of decades past and bring together today and tomorrow’s leading creative minds, innovators, activists and entrepreneurs.
For their second sold out event, 3BYFOUR partnered with their friends at Gjelina for dinner and drinks, with Rosé provided by Hampton Water Wine, a collaboration between Jon Bon Jovi and Gerald Bertrand. Paying homage to The Case Study House program (1945-1966), NIGHT TWO was a reflection on the influence of American architecture throughout the city of Los Angeles from 1945 to present day.
Guests arrived at Gjelina’s side-door, where they were checked in and assigned a specific case study house before scaling the stairs up to one of Venice’s best hidden gems. Upstairs on the roof, guests mingled, drank and savored appetizers while mellow beats set the perfect tone to accompany the twinkling lights of Abbot Kinney’s skyline. Noah and Lindsay of The Haiku Guys and Gals thoughtfully crafted customs haikus for each guest, encouraging smiles and laughter from the crowd all evening. Dinner was served family style, with guests forging meaningful new relationships and phones hidden away.
The evening concluded with a conversation between LaLa Magazine’s editor-in-chief Jessica Kantor and renowned art collector and architecture aficionado, Alberto Chehebar, who lives in a Richard Neutra-designed home. Guests observantly listened as Chehebar shared his thoughts on the dynamic relationship between contemporary art and mid-century architecture in Los Angeles.
The evening’s guests included Elliot Grainge, Ron Rofé, Michael Stoppelman, David Alagem, Alexa Dell, Josephine Musco, Maggie Sellers, Adam Koral, Jay Trinidad, Alberto Chehebar and his wife Jocelyne Katz, amongst others.
Sponsors included Hampton Water Wine, Creative Art Partners, Barry’s Bootcamp, Raaka Chocolate, Olyxir, Health House, Chit Chat LA, Mush, Wrapped in a Cloud, ShopNou, LALA Magazine, The Unlikely Florist, Wonderful Company, Ladder, With Seven, Art of Choice, and The Collective Rising.
Florals for the evening were arranged by Spencer Falls of The Unlikely Florist and the evening was photographed by Ana Saavedra.
