On the occasion of Milano Fashion Week®, of which Franciacorta has been an official partner for over thirteen years, an exclusive event was held to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Consorzio Franciacorta. The celebration took place in the extraordinary setting of Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, on a private terrace overlooking Piazza Duomo.
The event gathered 200 Italian and international guests from the worlds of fashion, cinema and television, sports, media, and gastronomy for a multisensory experience in pure Italian style.
Among the guests were actors Giacomo Giorgio, Violante Placido, Michael Cooper Jr, Giorgia Fasce, and Gaia Amaral; NBA player Anthony Black; principal dancers of Teatro alla Scala Virna Toppi and Nicola del Freo; well-known TV personalities such as Paola Barale, Giorgia Surina, Paolo Kessisoglu, and Costanza Caracciolo; actor and violinist Leonardo Mazzarotto, and many other friends of Franciacorta who joined in raising a glass to this important milestone.
The evening opened with a dinner party curated by chef Carlo Cracco, who designed a gastronomic journey paired with different types of Franciacorta, enhancing the unique characteristics of each wine served.
Adding even more enchantment to the evening was a special performance by renowned Spanish dancer Sergio Bernal – an internationally acclaimed artist known for blending classical ballet and flamenco, with a modern and interdisciplinary approach that bridges art, fashion, and design. His captivating and powerful performance was inspired by a personal reflection: just as his dance is rooted in a deep love for the land, so too is Franciacorta an expression of a vibrant, living territory. To love the land is to love life – and that vital force was brought to the stage through Bernal’s elegance, passion, and authenticity.
A DJ set followed, creating a convivial and festive atmosphere to close the evening.
Past Presidents and Board Members of the Consortium attended, along with the current President Emanuele Rabotti, who remarked during his speech, “Celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Consortium here in Milan, during such an iconic event as Fashion Week, means acknowledging the role that Franciacorta has earned over time – that of an ambassador for anItalian lifestyle rooted in authenticity, elegance, and respect for the land. This anniversary marks both continuity with our past and a strong signal for the future.”
Carlo Capasa, President of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, added, “The National Chamber of Italian Fashion and Franciacorta are both ambassadors of Made in Italy excellence around the world. We share a focus on quality raw materials, the value of local territories, and environmental and social sustainability – but above all, the passion of the people who work in both industries. That’s why we are proud to collaborate and amplify the narrative of Italian excellence together.”
During the event, Franciacorta also previewed the first edition of Franciacorta Magazine, a new editorial project developed in collaboration with Gruppo Editoriale. The magazine was created to tell the story of the Franciacorta appellation in all its dimensions – not only wine, but also culture, craftsmanship, sustainability, creativity, and beauty.
Published in a bilingual format, Franciacorta Magazine will be available at newsstands and distributed in Italy and abroad in top-tier five-star hotels, high-end restaurants, and during major international events where Franciacorta is a protagonist.
The evening reaffirmed the strong and lasting bond between Franciacorta and the world of contemporary lifestyle, continuing its mission to connect with an audience that seeks beauty, excellence, and authentic stories – a journey that began 35 years ago and continues today with consistency and vision.
