Interior designer, author, and EyeSwoon Founder Athena Calderone welcomed friends, collaborators, and fellow creatives to celebrate the opening of The Atelier by Studio Athena Calderone—a new multifunctional space nestled in the heart of Tribeca’s design & gallery district that merges her passions for design, food, and community. Housed in a thoughtfully restored loft, The Atelier signals the next evolution of Calderone’s creative world, designed to host workshops, intimate gatherings, and collaborative projects under one roof.
The cocktail event brought together a tightly knit circle of tastemakers spanning interiors, fashion, food, and media. Guests moved through the space observing custom design elements and vignettes curated by Calderone herself. From open shelving styled with objects and cookbooks to the inviting communal kitchen and dining area, each detail reflected her signature aesthetic—elevated, tactile, and deeply personal.
Guests in attendance included Victor Calderone, Amy Astley, Andy Baraghani, Nate Berkus, Jeremiah Brent, Jenna Lyons, Hannah Bronfman, Jean Marc-Hoummard, Zanna Roberts Rassi, Woldy Reyes, Giza Timonier, Andrew Taylor, Rachelle Hruska, Tara Rudes Dann, Chloé Crane-Leroux, Alexa Von Tobel, Colin King, Deon Hinton, Sophie Lou Jacobsen Jason Saft, Ronny Kobo, Josh Glass, and more.
Throughout the evening, guests sipped on Maker’s Mark cocktails and sampled a custom dessert infused with the iconic bourbon brand —crafted in collaboration with Calderone— adding a warm and flavorful dimension to the night. Conversations unfolded over thoughtfully arranged bites and low, ambient music as guests took in the quiet luxury of the space. The opening celebration marked a living, breathing extension of the EyeSwoon ethos, built for sharing ideas, inspiring creativity, and gathering around beautiful things.
