Over 200 people braved steamy temperatures to attend the opening of artist Hanna Liden’s public art installation “Everything” presented by Art Production Fund and Kiehl’s Since 1851. “Everything” presents a much beloved New York staple – the bagel – in an unexpected context. The project places large-scale carved versions of the food, both individually and in stacks as makeshift vases, in the bustling public spaces of Hudson River Park and Ruth Wittenberg Plaza, engaging the city’s thousands of workers, commuters, residents and visitors. A final piece is installed in Kiehl’s flagship store at 109 Third Avenue, a nod to the brand’s generous sponsoring of the public art installations as a gift to their hometown of New York City.
