The fashion and beauty world gathered to celebrate three major milestones in the life of legendary hairstylist Sam McKnight: his 50-year career in the industry, his recent appointment as MBE, and his 70th birthday.
The exclusive event took place at the newly opened La Môme, which brings the time immemorial glamour of the French Riviera to The Berkeley, where Sam welcomed a dazzling guest list that included fashion royalty and longtime friends such as, Kate Moss, Kristen Scott Thomas, Rosemary Ferguson, Tom Ford, Stella McCartney, Mary McCartney, AJ Odudu , Charlotte Tilbury, Davina McCall, DJ Fat Tony, Marco Capaldo, Jamie Winstone and Sir Paul Smith.
The evening was a tribute to Sam’s extraordinary legacy, creative spirit, and influence across decades of editorial, runway, and red-carpet moments.
Guests partied to a vibrant '70s disco soundtrack, curated by close friends DJ Fat Tony and Patsy Palmer set the tone for the evening as guests dined on Riviera-inspired dishes from La Môme. Signature cocktails flowed, including Don Julio Tequila Palomas, 1942 on the rocks, CÎROC vodka martinis, Johnnie Walker with elderflower, as well as Rock Angel Côtes de Provence Rosé, and Sam’s favourite Seedlip Garden and Tonic.
As the night came to a close, guests were gifted a Cool Girl Edit showcasing Sam’s signature Cool Girl volumising range from the Hair by Sam McKnight styling collection - a nod to the innovation and artistry that has defined Sam’s enduring career.
