The New York Botanical Garden attracted a fashionable and glamorous crowd in celebration of the opening of Brazilian Modern: The Living Art of Roberto Burle Marx. The evening was co-hosted by Francisco Costa, fashion designer and Founder of beauty brand, Costa Brazil, jewelry designer Ana Khouri, Barneys Marina Larroude, Amalia Spinardi of Jo de Mer, and Rafael Azzi, Founder of Azzi + Co.
Other notable guests included landscape architect Raymond Jungles - a Burle Marx-protege and designer of the exhibition, Lauren Remington Platt, fashion designer Robert Geller and wife, Brazilian-born designer Ana Lerario-Geller, Brazilian models Luciana Curtis, Mariana Marcki, Renata Zandonadi and Fabiane Nunes, Brazilian actress Daniela Escobari, and the New York Botanical Garden President and CEO Carrie Rebora Barratt, among others.
Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed champagne and small bites while previewing the lush garden installations and a special performance by Brazilian vocalist, Kay Lyra, daughter of Bossa Nova sensation Carlos Lyra.
