Twin entrepreneurs and changemakers Shabnam and Shay Safarzadeh hosted The Beauty of Giving: A Golden Journey for Girls’ Education, an intimate fundraising dinner on behalf of the Safar Global Foundation at the iconic L’Avenue at Saks. The evening was chaired by Charlie Walk, who was honored for his contributions to both foundations.

Shabnam and Shay Safarzadeh were joined by Flaviana Matata, Fern Mallis, Charlotte Bickley, Charlie Walk, Livia Pillman, Sterling McDavid, and more. 

The evening benefited the Flaviana Matata Foundation, with 100% of proceeds directly funding a critical WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) facility for a girls’ school in Tanzania. This inaugural dinner was designed to bring together like-minded philanthropists and creative leaders for a meaningful night of giving, connection, and impact. 

With a focus on infrastructure that supports dignity, safety, and access to education, the event embodied the spirit of purpose-driven collaboration and marks a powerful chapter in the ongoing work of both SGF and FMF.
