CEO and Co-Founder Deirdre Quinn and President Liz Fraser welcomed an array of VIPs, celebrities & influencers to an evening of fashion and philanthropy with a panel discussion entitled “#UnordinaryWomen, Extraordinary Conversations.” The event celebrated Lafayette 148’s #UnordinaryWomen campaign honoring fearless, trailblazing women who inspire and echoed its charitable cause by donating ten percent of sales from the event to She’s the First, a non-profit which helps support girls’ education around the world.
Fashion icon Fern Mallis hosted the panel discussion on living fearlessly and embracing the unordinary featuring twelve of the campaign’s #UnordinaryWomen, as well as She’s the First CEO & Co-Founder Tammy Tibbetts. #UnordinaryWomen panelists included Veronica Webb, Barrier-Breaking Supermodel; April Ryan, the Renowned Journalist and White House Correspondent; Stella Abrera, a prima ballerina with the American Ballet Theater and the company’s first Filipina-American principal dancer; Sophie Elgort, celebrated fashion photographer and the #UnordinaryWomen campaign photographer; Catherine Levene, President & Chief Digital Officer of Meredith National Media Group Corporation; Anjali Kumar, “Idea Acupuncturist” and Co-Founder of The Justice Dept; Lauri Freedman, Head of Product Development at The Whitney Museum; Neha Ruch, Founder of Mother Untitled; Marie Aude-Rose, Founding Chef at La Mercerie; Cyndie Spiegel, Community Builder of Women’s Spaces and Founder of The Collective (of Us); Niki Russ, Fourth-Generation Owner of NYC’s iconic Russ & Daughters; and Rachel Cargle, Contributing Writer for Harper’s Bazaar and activist at the intersection of race and feminism.
