Schools Consent Project marked a decade of impact with its 10th Anniversary Spring Benefit & Cocktail Reception, held at Robert at the Museum of Arts and Design, overlooking Columbus Circle. The sold-out event brought together approximately 170 supporters and raised $318,000—surpassing its fundraising goal by more than $100,000—to support the organization’s mission of educating young people about consent and the law.
The evening honored feminist icon V (formerly Eve Ensler), author of The Vagina Monologues and creator of V-Day; David Warren, General Counsel of Gucci; and Heidi Garfield, General Counsel of Priceline, for their commitment to advancing gender equity and youth empowerment.
Hosted by Schools Consent Project’s U.S. leadership team—Founder and CEO Kate Parker, Esq., Director Monica Bhogla, Esq., and New York Manager Kaitlin Andrews, Esq.—the event featured heartfelt speeches from honorees and students alike. V delivered a powerful and deeply personal address, reaffirming the urgency of the organization’s work.
Founded in the U.K. and expanded to New York City schools in 2023, Schools Consent Project sends trained lawyers into classrooms to lead interactive workshops on consent, boundaries, and the legal definitions of sexual offenses. The program equips students with the tools to navigate healthy relationships, respect personal boundaries, and understand the legal framework surrounding consent.
As of May 7, the organization has taught more than 70,000 students across the U.K. and New York City. Proceeds from the benefit will support the continued expansion of its programming, with a focus on reaching more underserved communities and training additional volunteer legal educators.
