Mick Jagger and his ballerina girlfriend Melanie Hamrick celebrated their newest project—a ballet set to the music of The Rolling Stones—at The Fleur Roomat the top of the all-new Moxy Chelsea hotel. Hamrick, the American Theater Corps de ballet member, kept quiet about which of her beau’s iconic songs will be in the final production. She spent the majority of the evening cozying up with Jagger and mingling with her fellow New York ballerinas, including Calvin Royal III, April Giangeruso, Herman Cornejo, and Brittany DeGrofft. The Stones frontman was happy to have his better half take center stage for the evening, commenting that he “just let her do her thing,” when it came to selecting the music and choreographing the dances for the show. The production, named Porte Rouge (Red Door) will make its US premiere at Lincoln Center on March 24th.
Guests sipped on The Fleur Room’s signature Pretty in Pink cocktail—made with Hendrick’s gin, St-Germain elderflower liqueur, and pink peppercorns—all while taking in the unparalleled city views from its floor-to-ceiling windows. At 35 floors above the iconic Flower District, the lounge features a backdrop of some of Manhattan’s most famous skyscrapers, including a full view of The Empire State Building.
