Romeo + Juliet director Baz Luhrmann and Bombay Sapphire hosted an intimate dinner to celebrate the inaugural Frieze Los Angeles. The evening kicked off with a cocktail hour featuring specialty Bombay Sapphire libations at the brand’simmersive pop-up bar inspired by iconic New York City nightclub, Max’s Kansas City. Guests sipped craft cocktails inspired by the creatives who frequented Max’s, while taking in the artwork of the exhibition.
The gathering then moved to a romantic dinner under the stars with Rita Ora, Asia Chow, Catherine Martin, Y’lan Noel, Lucila Sola, Scott Bloom, and Dorian Grinspan in attendance. The Valentine’s Day fête reunited Titanic costars Billy Zane and Leonardo DiCaprio (star of Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet), who brought along girlfriend Camila Morrone and parents George DiCaprio and Peggy Ann for a family affair. The evening commenced with a riveting speech by Luhrmann on what inspires creativity alongside artist Johnathan Yeo, celebrating the impact the artworld has on film and the collision of the two worlds at Frieze LA.
