Twin entrepreneurs and philanthropists, Shabnam and Shay Safarzadeh, officially launched the Safar Global Foundation (SGF)—a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding educational access for girls worldwide—with an exclusive, invitation-only evening in New York City.
In collaboration with a major New York fashion house, the intimate event brought together changemakers across fashion, philanthropy, and global development. Guests experienced a curated capsule collection from the brand’s SS’25 line, created in celebration of SGF’s mission, with 10% of proceeds funding scholarships, school resources, and mentorship programs in underserved communities.
Guests in attendance included Jenna Lyons, Cass Bird, Charlotte Groeneveld, Coco Bassey, Christina Grasso, Christie Tyler, Alexander Hankin, Gracie Cashman, Jennifer Rubio, Jordan Rand, Alaire Thomas, Livy Duncan, Monica Elias, Nazy Nazhand, Paula Sanders, and more.
The evening marked a major milestone for the Safar sisters, whose journey spans groundbreaking innovations in healthcare education, AI-powered recruitment, sustainable fashion, and now, global philanthropy.
