Friends of Hannah Traore Gallery gathered at the Lower East Side exhibition space to celebrate the opening of Jose Duran's latest solo exhibition, Aleluya. Known for investigating and uncovering stories from the Caribbean, the Dominican-born, New York-based Duran weaves together histories of Cuban rococo interiors and native plant healing practices across two rich bodies of work in this show, on view through the end of May.
