W New York - Times Square held their What She Said: Women in Exploration panel discussion - part of W Hotel's What She Said global speaker series focusing on empowering women through the inspirational stories of some of the world’s top entrepreneurs and trailblazers.
The panel consisted of Barbara Hillary (the first African American woman to reach the North and South poles); Christine Dennison (the first woman to scuba dive in the Canadian High Arctic and the Northwest Passage and founder of Exploring Women); Nikki Vargas (Atlas Obscura's Places Editor) and Tao Tao Holmes (Atlas Obscura's Director of Trip Design and Operations). Serving as the moderator was Ella Morton, Atlas Obscura's senior editor, and co-author of the New York Times bestselling book - Atlas Obscura: An Explorer's Guide to the World's Hidden Wonders.
