GOODEE, a marketplace internationally recognized for sustainable and purpose-driven design, recently celebrated the grand opening of its first permanent retail store in Westmount. This flagship space marks an exciting new chapter in GOODEE’s mission to provide an immersive and curated shopping experience that seamlessly blends physical and digital retail.
Founded in Montreal, Canada by award-winning entrepreneurs and designers Byron and Dexter Peart, GOODEE is a B-corp certified online destination where conscious consumers can find an array of beautiful and timeless items for the home. Each brand and product are carefully chosen not only for their beauty and quality of design, but also for their social and environmental impact, from supporting marginalized communities and advocating for gender equality to nature conservation and circular business practices. Since its launch in 2019, the brand has quickly emerged as a leader in the sustainable design industry, partnering with notable institutions such as the United Nations’ Ethical Fashion Initiative and being named to Fast Company’s annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2021.
After successful pop-up events at the PHI Centre in Montreal, the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City, and Platform, Culver City in LA, GOODEE is returning home to establish a lasting presence.
“Our new Westmount store represents a pivotal moment for GOODEE,” said Byron and Dexter Peart, co-founders of GOODEE. “We are excited to bring our customers an elevated shopping experience that combines our signature curation of sustainable goods with in-person touchpoints that highlight our values of craftsmanship, design, and social impact.”
Having cultivated a strong presence in the retail industry, GOODEE is leveraging its extensive expertise to create a space that fosters deeper emotional connections with customers. The 1,000-square-foot location will offer a thoughtfully designed environment that increases engagement with the local community.
Beyond traditional retail, the GOODEE store will serve as a hub for exclusive limited-edition launches and curated in-store events. Customers can expect an inviting atmosphere where they can explore thoughtfully crafted products and connect with a like-minded community. Brands that will be available at the space include Haws, Niwaki, Tensira, ecoBirdy, Iris Hantverk, Ferm Living, and many more.
