Ira Madison III celebrated the launch of his first book, Pure Innocent Fun, at Papa San, the brand new Nikkei izakaya restaurant from the team behind Llama San + Llama Inn, located on the ground floor of The Spiral, an innovative 66-story building designed by Bjarke Ingels Group for Tishman Speyer.
Guests gathered in the 20-seat private dining room suspended above the restaurant’s bustling main dining room and sipped pink-hued ‘Pure Innocent Fun’ cocktails. The dinner kicked off with a game of ‘Peruvian roulette’ (a white elephant style game involving various shots), and guests enjoyed chef Erik Ramirez’s menu of Peruvian cuisine with Japanese preparation. Dishes included rock shrimp maki, shitake mushroom ceviche, black bass with shishito peppers, crispy pork belly and tsukemono cucumbers, and grilled picanha.
Those in attendance included Ira Madison, Jeff Dorsman, Tishman Speyer, Chris Murphy, Gibson Johns, Hunter Harris, Juan Ramirez, Michael Cuby, Terence Edgerson, Jacques Agobobly, Emilia Petrarca, Ben Richardson, Jonah Almost, Diogo Corto-Real, Meekal Tedros, Essence, Mikey Friedman, Deonté Lee, Anthony Morfa, and Tory Stiletto.
