Young Musicians Unite (YMU) hosted an exclusive Gala Kickoff Dinner at the Hibiscus Island home of Michael and Stephanie Rosen, bringing together top music executives and Miami’s philanthropic leaders. The event raised $93,500 to support free music programs for students in Title I schools across Miami-Dade.
Guests enjoyed a gourmet dinner by Chef Danny Serfer and performances by YMU student bands. Miami-Dade County Commissioner Kionne L. McGhee spoke on the power of mentorship, while Lava Records founder Jason Flom donated $25,000 in a show of industry support. Notable attendees included iHeartMedia President Richard Bressler, Khaliah Ali, and more.
The event set the stage for the 12th Annual YMU Gala, further advancing YMU’s mission to provide music education to over 9,000 students across 61 schools.
