Barneys New York kicked off day one of “thedropLA@barneys”, the second iteration of its two-day immersive experience, featuring over 20+ exclusive capsule collections, designer appearances, experiential installations and environments, unique in-store activations, and programming featuring some of the biggest names in fashion and entertainment. Saturday’s festivities concluded with a special surprise performance from Wu Tang Clan presented by Live Nation.
Barneys New York released dozens of exclusive pieces from brands including Prada, Heron Preston, FEAR OF GOD, Fendi, Moschino, Palm Angels, Givenchy, Balmain, Versace, Rick Owens, FILA, Greg Lauren, A-COLD-WALL*, AREA, TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist, John Elliott, Ksubi, Manolo Blahnik, Wu Wear, Birkenstock, Advisory Board Crystals, and more. Aleali May, Heron Preston, and Drew Caldwell discussed the deeper meanings of luxury. Brendan Fowler, Ganna Bogdan, Guillermo Andrade of 424, and Ali Fatourechi of Adaptation discussed LA’s collaborative creative community. Piotrek Panszczyk & Beckett Fogg of AREA, Candace Reels, Jayne Min, and Diana Gordon discussed how fashion is empowering women.
