Supporters of the Frick and their friends attended the annual Young Fellows Ball, now in its sixteenth year. This year’s A Dance at the Spanish Court, was sponsored by Lanvin. The event took its inspiration from the special exhibition Coypel’s Don Quixote Tapestries: Illustrating a Spanish Novel in Eighteenth-Century France. About 600 guests, many in red, black, or gold gowns with statement jewelry, and gem-studded accessories, filled the elegant Garden Court for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and danced in the Music Room until midnight to tracks spun by DJ Jason Fioto.
Proceeds from the benefit provided essential support for the Frick’s education program, which serves New York City public schools in all five boroughs, and for the Frick Art Reference Library.
