The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Marketing team in developing and executing the marketing strategy and media plans for Barneys New York. The Marketing Coordinator will manage regional media planning and buying, partnerships, customer acquisition and loyalty/reactivation programs. S/he will also manage elements of the Marketing budget and will be heavily involved in vendor marketing.

-Work with the Marketing and Communications team to develop strategic marketing plans with a special focus on media strategy and customer activations, and execute plan details

-Maintain and build relationships with existing and potential media vendors; evaluate new media partner proposals and opportunities

-Negotiate regional and niche publication rates and positions for magazines and newspapers

-Work with the Vice President of Marketing and merchant teams to prepare a creative rotation recommendations for all mediums (newspaper, outdoor, digital)

-Maintain and further develop existing partnerships and identify new opportunities to drive customers to the brand

-Analyze and report on promotional programs and/or customer acquisition results

-Manage day-to-day advertising, customer acquisition and partnership budgets

-Develop and present vendor analytics and brand specific customer insights upon request

-Prepare and manage vendor proposals and recaps

-Develop the marketing strategy and oversee the execution of the Barneys New York Warehouse locations

Marketing:

-Work with the Marketing and Communications team to develop strategic marketing plans with a special focus on media strategy and customer activations, and execute plan details

-Responsible for executing marketing strategy plans in Concept markets

-Responsible for setting-up regional marketing calls

-Responsible for taking notes for the regional marketing calls

Advertising/Media Plans:

-Maintain and build relationships with existing and potential media vendors

-Evaluate new media partner proposals and opportunities for business growth

-Negotiate regional and niche rates and positions for magazines and newspapers

-Prepare a creative rotation recommendation

-Works with the merchant team to ensure business needs are being met and no inventory concerns

-Traffics creative to the Executive team for approval

-Responsible for tracking insertion orders are approved and issued in a timely manner

-Maintains the advertising library with all proof of performance copies

-Creates the closing date calendar for all placements

-Gathers specs and issues the creative brief to the advertising team

-Plans, negotiates, and executes digital branding and special promotional campaigns

-Provides comprehensive digital analytics post campaign

-Conceptualizes, creates, and implements unique digital creative executions

-Oversees rich media agenciesMonitors all digital campaigns from start to finish

-Optimizes digital plans in real-timeWorks in tandem with the digital team

-Plans, negotiates, and executes on-site advertising placements and creative selections

-Works with the merchant team to ensure business needs are being met and no inventory concerns with creative selections

-Works with VP of Marketing and Director of Marketing on partnership programs and execution

Budget:

-Assists the Marketing team with budget management

-Works with the Director of Marketing to manage day-to-day advertising, customer acquisition and partnership budgets

-Meets with Finance once a month to ensure proper tracking of funds

-Requests monthly ledgers from AP to ensure budget is being managed appropriately, checks plans against monthly ledger

-Responsible for receiving, tracking and submitting all invoices to Finance and Accounts Payable

-Vendor Marketing:

--Prepares and manages vendor proposals and recaps for Beauty, shoe, and jewelry vendors

--Collaborates with all departments (merchants, press, events, web, etc.) to create comprehensive vendor proposals leveraging all assets

--Assists in the preparation of vendor proposals and recaps

--Responsible for tracking the status of vendor proposals and recaps

--Responsible for submitting monthly accruals and forecasts to Finance and Accounts Payable
