Description:

The Assistant Account Executive will be responsible for supporting clients on our Beauty team. This individual will report directly to a Senior Account Executives and will be responsible for, but not limited to, creating media lists; facilitating product seeding; drafting press releases, media advisories and tailored pitches; tracking media coverage; generating monthly reporting; overseeing client inventory and managing interns. The ideal Assistant Account Executive (is a dog-lover who) is highly organized and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. This position requires good interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work effectively with a variety of account service staff. This individual will be an integral part of the Gear team and will have the opportunity to expand into the role of Account Executive while being exposed to all aspects of the agency. 

Core Responsibilities will include Day-to-day Support of Client Activities:

Generate and manage media lists – knowledge of Cision or Muck Rack preferred

Create consumer and trade editorial calendars

Manage tracking of media coverage

Assist with client reporting

Assist with creation of press materials (draft pitch letters, press releases, etc.)

Research and track trends that pertain to clients

Stay up to speed with current events, monitoring social and mainstream media on key issues and topics

Secure print and online coverage for clients through targeted media outreach and pitching

Contribute to internal brainstorming sessions

Prepare meeting schedules and call agendas for clients

Oversee and manage client product inventory

Facilitate product seeding and execution of creative mailers

Qualifications:

Recent college graduates with public relations, marketing or communications degrees and relevant internship experience are preferred

1-2 years’ PR agency experience preferred
