BRND House is looking for a local Publicist to join our growing team.

This position will be instrumental in working alongside our founders in a management capacity to lead our team through high profile lifestyle & hospitality accounts. Our current roster consists of some of the most respected names in the industry, including STK, DREAM Hotels, Oddfellows, Virgin Hotels, 5th Street Group, Geoffrey Zakarian and more.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2-3 years of agency experience mandatory (preferably in hospitality but not required).

• Candidate should be a motivated, energetic and pro-active self-starter, who has exceptional experience in the AP writing format, as well as pitching and managing client accounts in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Must possess the ability to juggle many tasks at one time and change gears quickly

• Candidate should have experience executing out-of-the-box client campaigns from conception to completion and will understand tailored angles, as well as the relevance of timely news hooks and trends

• Should be skilled at researching industry trends

• Must be extremely detail-oriented and be able to work in a flexible work environment.

• Applicant should possess a proven portfolio of media contacts for local, regional and national media outlets

• Candidate should also be willing to attend events regularly. He/She will be able to provide examples of secured media coverage in broadcast, print and online news outlets, but we'd also like to see examples of regional and national placements as well

• The applicant can demonstrate prior experience managing the interaction and daily affairs of client communication—from initiation to execution and beyond

• Applicant should also have experience overseeing a team of lower-level publicists by delegating assignments and deadlines, as well as fully managing daily tasks, projects, and expectations to support a larger picture strategy

• Regularly seeks out new business leads to contribute to the overall growth of the company, and is able to assist with proposal writing, as well as introductory meetings with potential clients• Must be able to thrive in a boutique-style environment
