This candidate would be responsible for overseeing a team and spearheading PR campaigns for a client roster which includes noted F&B brands in the industry, including Michelin-Starred Restaurants and James Beard Award Winning Chefs.
It requires strategic project planning and execution, including campaign development and timelines, overseeing and executing daily client account activity, developing and maintaining strong relations with culinary media (both traditional and digital) and other key influencers; writing and researching for press materials; assisting with new business presentations, client account management and results/ROI evaluation and reporting.
The ideal candidate is an expert storyteller who can pitch and place newsworthy stories that convey brand messages and develop creative written materials that engage target audiences. It requires excellent interpersonal skills, ability to give strategic direction, strong client relations, close collaboration with colleagues, a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence while being results-focused.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead day-to-day client interaction, serving as primary point of contact on accounts
Support the development and execution of creative PR strategies for our brands focusing on both traditional and digital media
Developing and maintaining strong relations with culinary, travel and lifestyle media (national, regional and trade)
Write effective and results-driven AP style press materials
Staff client events, media interviews and TV tapings
Manage, mentor and support staff
Draft and present new business presentations
Requirements Bachelor’s Degree
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Team player with ability to take the lead on relevant projects
High level of initiative and proven ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Experience with food & beverage brands
Knowledge of all media and social platforms and how to leverage them
Strong organizational, planning, problem solving and decision-making skills
