Hospitality, travel, culinary, and luxury lifestyle PR agency, JAC Jessica Aufiero Communications, is seeking a public relations and social media intern for Fall 2021 to start immediately. All candidates must have an understanding of the hospitality and culinary industry as well as social media. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for this position. In addition, interns should also be prepared to provide administrative support to the JAC team. This is a great opportunity to learn about the public relations industry and gain hands-on experience working with the media and clients.

Primary responsibilities will include:
Assist with coordination of media mailings
Editorial calendar research
Press clipping
Press audits
Compiling and maintaining media lists
Creating updates and meeting recaps for clients
Weekly and monthly press coverage reports
Create social media calendar and assist in developing content for agency platforms
Writing press materials (press releases, fact sheets, bios, etc.)
Basic outreach to the media and Instagram influencers
Assisting with client events (Sending invites, managing RSVP follow up, etc)
Qualifications:
Previous NYC PR agency experience
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Must be personable, detail-oriented, and highly enthusiastic
Passion for hospitality, travel, and food, with an interest in the communications industry
Familiar with Google, Adobe Suites, Canva Strong understanding of social media platforms
Knowledge of Italian or French helpful Apple laptop preferred
