Requirements:

Possess excellent communication and writing skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with meticulous and critical attention to detail and follow-through

Organized, resourceful, takes initiative, able to prioritize tasks

Proficiency in Outlook and MS Office Suite of products

Able to complete tasks to expectations

Able to devise organizational systems to work efficiently and on schedule

Able to contribute original ideas on how to best leverage client news and information

Ability to multi-task and support multiple client teams

Four-year undergraduate college/university degree

Proficiency with both Adobe Creative Suite and InDesign, a plus but not a requirement 

Responsibilities of this position include:

Monitoring news coverage of clients and travel industry as a whole

Updating press kits and materials as needed

Assisting with the drafting and distribution of press releases, e-blasts, and pitches

Assembling clipbooks and/or PowerPoint presentations for client visits and media appointments

Compiling weekly and monthly Media Highlights for clients – including detailed information on media outlets, report duplication, collating and distribution

Taking comprehensive notes from client meetings in order to compile follow-up minutes

Ongoing maintenance of distribution lists from Meltwater for press release distribution and media outreach

Responding to media inquiries and image requests

Pitching client stories to media both proactively and reactively

Maintaining updated tracking reports of day-to-day activity and initiatives

Maintaining and itemizing inventory of client collateral

Assist with coordination of group and individual press trips – including but not limited to researching travel schedules, drafting budget estimates for approval, assembling trip kits and reproducing press kits, compiling press trip expense reports

Event planning and management - including but not limited to maintaining RSVP lists, creating media briefing books, media profiles, gathering materials and assembling gift bags and collateral, press kit assembly, working at the event, and running errands for the event

Assisting with office clerical duties such as filing and sending packages

Assisting account teams with necessary errands such as collecting magazines, scanning press clips and topic research

Answering agency phone line & directing calls to appropriate team members in a professional manner
