Description:

The assistant director of marketing and public relations develops and executes effective content marketing strategies and public relations initiatives for SCADpro in line with the university’s mission, which drive awareness and future industry partnerships. This position must be creative and flexible, with a comprehensive understanding of the university’s goals. The assistant director develops marketing and public relations plans that involve local, regional and national media content and press.

Requirements:

• B.A. Degree from an accredited, four-year university

• 1-3 years of digital marketing and/or digital public relations experience

• Possesses an understanding of the practice of modern public relations and content marketing, how all the media channels (earned, owned, and paid) intersect, and how they can be integrated to achieve a content marketing and PR objectives

• Experience conducting media pitches that led to earned media placements

• Public relations and/or digital marketing experience with innovation, technology, digital media, and/or design

• Proficient with search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM)
