The position of Senior Account Supervisor reports to an Account Director or higher level employee. The Senior Account Supervisor is responsible for managing and executing all aspects of a PR program, supervising and managing the media relationships, and managing the account team. In this position the publicist should demonstrate an expertise to answer all general PR questions immediately and unaided.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee entire public relations performance and all functions of accounts
• Develops public relations strategies and manages senior level day-to-day contact with the client to ensure all objectives are met
• Executes senior level strategic public relations positioning with the media
• Provide strategic media counsel to clients and account team
• Anticipate clients’ strategic needs
• Supervise account staff in their daily activities
• Proactive participation in new business initiatives: plan writing and presentation
• Working knowledge of social networks and ability to assist clients with developing strategies and monitoring share of voice
Education and Experience Required:
• BA/BS Degree is preferred
• 6-8 years of experience in public relations
• Agency experience is preferred

• Ability to spot trends and integrate into PR efforts to keep accounts current in the media
