We are seeking an passionate and enthusiastic Account Manager with 5 to 6 years of New York City PR agency experience to join our team. Candidates must be highly motivated, have a placement track record among key outlets (both print and digital), a solid understanding of hospitality and lifestyle media, and excellent writing skills. A solid knowledge of key social media influencers from the culinary and lifestyle worlds is required and familiarity with influencer outreach..
The individual in this position must be able to manage multiple responsibilities, provide necessary planning, organization, direction, and operational coordination to meet the PR goals of clients and the agency.
Scope of work:
-Proactive media outreach including generating story ideas and securing story placements within all genres including print, digital, and broadcast outlets
-Day-to-day client management
-Logistical coordination of local media events and desk sides for clients
-Independently prepare all account documents including programs, reports, agendas, and meeting recaps
-Develop and maintain key relationships with media and industry contacts
-Develop press materials and key message speaking points
-Assist in developing PR plans, timeline and support Senior team in developing new business proposals
-Participate in new business meetings and pitches
-Manage all junior staff, assistants and interns
-5 to 6 years PR experience, preferably at a NYC agency
-Existing culinary and hospitality editor and influencer contacts and the ability to cultivate and maintain new relationships are a must. Media references may be requested
-Strong written and communication skills
-Understanding of the luxury hospitality, travel, and culinary industry
-Highly organized and detail oriented
-Proficient at multitasking
-Knowledge of NYC based media and influencers as well as regional and national media outlets in key markets (Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, DC)
-Understanding of high profile restaurant and hotel openings and the strategy required
