BACKGROUND 

A fast-growing, dynamic New York-based PR, Marketing and Events firm seeks a Senior Manager of Business Development to cultivate accounts within the fashion, beauty, lifestyle, design, spirits and travel industries. 

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES 

-Monitor all new business leads across the firm; maintain detailed pipeline of developments and organization of all relevant materials

-Proactively recommend new businesses or industries for outreach on behalf of the agency

-Manage the firm’s reactive inquiries through company website

-Write, format and copy edit new business proposals for clients across all divisions of the firm

-Participate in brainstorm sessions across industries; offer creative concepts for new business proposals

-Maintain the firm’s marketing materials including capabilities decks and case studies; liaise with digital team to recommend content for firm social media channels and website

-Oversee the firm’s submissions for industry awards

-Oversee research and development of detailed briefings for new business opportunities

-Participate in weekly status updates on all new business opportunities with the firm’s President

-Report to Associate Vice President, Business Development

Requirements:

-Minimum 2-4 years Business Development experience

-Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills

-Must be comfortable leading internal and client meetings, including delivery of presentations

-Strong time management skills and the ability to organize and handle multiple projects with flexibility in a fast-paced environment

-Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Experience in Public Relations is a plus but not required

-Graphic Design experience a plus but not required
